Apply for Scholarship

While we encourage our families to pay their fees in full at the time of registration, we recognize this may create a financial hardship for some families. Toluca Baseball is proud to serve our community and extend financial assistance to families in need. Each season, Toluca provides partial and full scholarships to families undergoing hardships such as unemployment, high medical costs, divorce, home foreclosures, etc. 

To ensure the success of our league, we rely on the participation of all families, including those receiving scholarships. Starting with the Spring 2025 season, scholarship applicants are required to fulfill a set number of volunteer hours during the season to support league operations. Toluca Baseball is an all-volunteer-run organization dedicated to providing an inclusive, community-driven experience for all players and families. 

Scholarship applications will only be considered during the registration process. 

Volunteer Requirement Details: 

Required Hours: Scholarship recipients must complete 2-9 volunteer hours based on the amount of financial aid requested. Each volunteer hour is based on a $50 increment. For example, if you require a full scholarship for the Spring season, that will require 9 hours of service. $425/ $50 = 9hours. 

Volunteer Activities: Eligible tasks may include: 

  • Coaching or assisting with a team 
  • Serving as a team parent for your player’s team 
  • Supporting registration events 
  • Helping at player evaluations 
  • Staffing the snack shack 
  • Assisting with opening day preparations 
  • Helping with field maintenance between games or during tournaments 
  • Representing Toluca Baseball at community events 

 Important Notes:

  •  Specific volunteer hour requirements will be determined in confidence with the current Registrar. 
  •  If the required hours are not completed by the end of the season, the full registration fee will be charged to the credit card on file. 
  •  Each application granted will be charged a $1 Application fee to ensure that we have the credit card on file 
How It Works: 

  1. Submit your scholarship application by the registration deadline. 
  2. Scholarship applications will be reviewed, and families will receive an email with their scholarship amount from the League Registrar well before the registration deadline. 
  3. Coordinate with the Registrar and fulfill your assigned volunteer hours during the season. 
  4. If hours are not fulfilled by the last game of the season, the league will charge the balance to the credit card on file. 

This program ensures that all families, including those receiving scholarships, actively contribute to the success of our league.
